Mary Rose

Mary Rose S. Maloney is an attorney at the L. David Shear Children’s Law Center and an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP. She represents youth in foster care who are victims of human trafficking. She is also the human trafficking project manager for FosterPower, a movement to improve the lives and futures of youth in foster care by creating access to information on their benefits, protections, and legal rights. Mary Rose earned her law degree with a concentration in social justice advocacy from Stetson University College of Law and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and international affairs, magna cum laude, from Florida State University. Before law school, Mary Rose worked with trafficked youth as a dependency case manager.

We're excited to have such an important role, not just at Bay Area Legal, but for all of Hillsborough County, to have someone advocating and fighting for the rights of youth trafficking victims in the foster care system.
