How do I report a complaint about my care?

The Office of the Children’s Ombudsman takes complaints from children and young adults about placement, care, and services and will assist in fixing the issues. The Ombudsman is also a person who can show and explain policies or procedures to children, young adults, and their caregivers The Ombudsman also provides recommendations to the department to address problems that are leading to complaints from children and young adults.

The Florida Abuse Hotline accepts reports 24 hours a day and 7 days a week of known or suspected child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and reports of known or suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a vulnerable adult. .
